Osaka Tennoji Zoo, one of Japan's oldest zoos, offers a captivating glimpse into the animal kingdom. Home to a diverse array of creatures from around the globe, the zoo provides an engaging and educational experience for visitors of all ages. From majestic lions and playful monkeys to exotic birds and fascinating reptiles, there's something to spark the curiosity of every animal lover. Opened in 1915, Tennoji Zoo has a rich history of conservation and education. Over the years, the zoo has evolved to prioritize animal welfare and create more naturalistic habitats. The zoo is committed to providing a stimulating environment for its animals and promoting awareness of biodiversity and conservation efforts. It has been a beloved destination for generations of Osaka residents and continues to play an important role in the city's cultural landscape. At Tennoji Zoo, visitors can observe animals in thoughtfully designed enclosures that mimic their natural habitats. Attend animal feeding demonstrations to learn more about their diets and behaviors. Explore the various zones, including the African Savanna, the Asian Tropical Rainforest, and the Bird Aviary. The zoo also offers educational programs and events for children and families.
